Update | 4:44 p.m. While US Airways is promoting Sully's flight out of La Guardia, what they aren't saying is that his real first flight back is tomorrow morning out of Charlotte, NC with Skiles and US Airways execs.

Update | 4:30 p.m. Guess what Sully and Skiles were doing last night? Having dinner in LA with Harrison Ford. They've just been tapped to chair the Young Eagles program

Update | 10:00 p.m. This morning US Airways confirmed my post yesterday (see below) that Captain Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger and First Officer Jeff Skiles would be flying together on October 1.

We've learned that Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger could return to the cockpit as early as this Thursday, October 1. He will be paired with Jeff Skiles, his copilot on that now famous January 15, Hudson river splashdown. We’re told the duo will fly into New York's LaGuardia that morning.

US Airways earlier this week confirmed that Sully would soon be back on the job but declined to name a date. Skiles resumed flying last April. Among other things, Sully’s been taking time off to be with his family and to write a book-a memoir entitled Highest Duty due in bookstores October 13.
